Here's a little history about me...

 

Ever since I was young, I enjoyed creating things. Whether that was building projects in my dad's wood shop, drawing, taking pictures or creating a movie using the family camcorder, I was always making something. My parents were instrumental in helping me grow my artistic skills by giving me private drawing lessons and encouraging me to pursue my talent in college. And so I did; In 2000, I graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia with my B.F.A. My major focus during school, was hand-drawn portraits - and I have found that the ability to draw people has had a major artistic impact on my photography.

 

After graduating, I landed my first creative job working directly for the University doing multimedia design, video production and video editing. It was an exciting job with a large variety of projects.
 

In 2004 I was offered a job as a product designer for an outdoor/camping company called NorthPole, designing all sorts of gear; it challenged my creativity in many ways, which sparked a period of artistic and professional growth. After 8 years, I moved back into videography and multimedia design for Swank Motion Pictures in St. Louis, where I now manage the company's video production efforts.

Throughout my professional career, I've always enjoyed photography. Videography and photography share many of the same technical and artistic concepts, so it was really just an extension of what I was doing for a living. In 2012 I decided to take my love for photography and turn it into something a bit more, shooting portraits and weddings for friends and family.

 

Now, in 2018, I'm taking things a bit further still, with the launch of this website and a fresh investment in camera gear. My goal is to win your business and make images that will last you and your family a lifetime.
